A clear span is a structural question before it is an aesthetic one. Beam depth, post sizing and footing depth all come from our engineer, calculated against the actual load the structure will carry. Because we fabricate in house rather than assembling a kit, the beam is sized to your opening instead of your opening being sized to a stock beam.
Concealed drainage runs through the beam and down through the post, so a wide structure stays clean at the edges with no visible gutters and no dripping line along the back of the house.
